About John Gardner- Master TaxidermistMy love of hunting, fishing and nature started at a very early age on a south Texas ranch hunting quail and javelina. At the age of 10 my family moved to Northern Indiana where I hunted pheasants and ran a successful trap line in high school. After graduating college in Durango where I majored in hunting, skiing and mountain climbing in addition to business, I started guiding sheep and goat hunters and had the opportunity to help a taxidermist in the off season.
A year or so later I worked at a game processing plant where the owner encouraged me to open a taxidermy business along side of the processing operation. Both businesses grew quickly. In the early 1980’s I started competing the state and regional taxidermy competitions in the masters division and after a few years I started judging competitions. Wildlife Expressions has continued to grow over the past decades and I thank all my customers and friend s for helping do the work that I love. |
